Sound Horizon manual ver Kizu

Alright, this is my own way of introducing someone to this kingdom and may contain inaccuracies and whatnot. Someone tell me if I messed up ok? Also I wanted to include links as well as pictures, so
Translations to most of the albums and Maxi/singles
1. IdoIdo+Marchen
Marchen is currently the newest album. The reason why I recommend it first is because there are wonderful translation videos with images to help you understand the songs. Um ok, so apparently youtube decided to take most of them down…You can still try fishing for vids though. HOWEVER, to fully understand Marchen, you need to listen to Ido e Itaru Mori e Itaru Ido. There are only 3 songs to that, so it’s not too complicated. The first song has a translation video. Also, Revo, the man behind the whole band, likes to make connections between albums, so you won’t understand everything behind Marchen if you stop here.
2. Seisen no Iberia
By this point, you might start to get used to Sound Horizon’s style, but even if you haven’t, I still recommend Iberia. It only has 3 songs, but it’s still amazing. I think it might be a fanfavorite even lol, I can’t confirm but yeah.
3. Alright, if you think you’ll like Sound Horizon’s style at this point, then uuum there are a lot of ways to go about this. You could pick out an album to listen to or just go in order. I kinda just jumped around albums, but yeah definitely check out their earlier works too alright?

So, Chronicle is the first album Revo composed and Chronicle 2nd is the retelling kind of. The first is fully instrumental with stories in its booklet while Chronicle 2nd incorporates vocals, Aramary as the main singer, to the songs. I recommend both if you start from the very beginning.

Thanatos is the second album. Ok so like, Thanatos himself is a character in Sound Horizon, but his character is actually more showcased in Moira, just to throw this out here because I was a bit confused by this at first lol;;;

Uuum I think it was in this album that a few more voices were added? Jimang gets his own song in this, lol. Full of Engrish and whatnot.

Gosh, I really love this album, because it was my first hahaa. This is the first album to get a PV and concert, but….regarding Sound Horizon PVs, well. It’s the music that matters ok? Ok.
Wow ok I don’t want to keep adding my pointless commentaries so
Roman and Moira are the 5th and 6th Horizons/Albums. Cool stuff, new voices but we lost Aramary;; Revo starts singing as the lead/main character in Roman. There are concerts and PVs to accompany both of them as well. Btw I seriously recommend Moira’s concert, even if you might have to dig around youtube for it.
Ok to the side there are some singles and other works, but at this point in the game, if you really enjoy the music, I bet nothing’s going to stop you from listening.
- Pico Magic and Pico Magic Reload are 2 CDs with a few songs from the main albums but some originals as well.
- Shonen wa Tsurugi wo is a maxi, including Hiiro no Fusha from Roman alongside 2 originals
- Leviathan…uuuuuh well…I don’t think this is part of Sound Horizon exactly? I just began listening to it, so I haven’t actually begun understanding its story. Still really beautiful too, with a lot of familiar melodies, pfff Revo you.
- Dreamport is a collab between Revo and Yuki Kajiura. Come on, with names like those, you gotta check it out.
Aside from the main stuff, there are still the triumph concerts. A lot of songs are actually from concerts only, but unfortunately youtube’s been taking them down;; So um, if you wanna just search around the internet for those videos…I think the other Laurants have torrents and downloads to them, so it’s possible to still find them.
This may seem like a lot of work and effort…and well, yeah it might be, but it’s definitely worth it if you ask me~
Feel free to ask around too, because it’s bound to get confusing if you’re new to how everything in this fandom/kingdom/cult works. We’ll be more than happy to help!
